The Race are a 5-piece
indie rock band hailing from Reading. Drawing influences from
The Cure and Mogwai as well as many American indie bands, their
tracks are unusual yet captivating. They maintain their
British sound and have pop-style hooks in their lyrics which
will have you singing along and jumping around on the indie club
dancefloors.
Already having rave reviews from the UK press including NME,
Rocksound and Radio1 the band are set to break through into the
mainstream during 2007. Previous high profile gigs include a
slot at the Reading festival and going on tour supporting the
Fun Loving Criminals, Cooper Temple Clause, The Zutons and
Babyshambles.
